Bay Ridge is gearing up for its 40th annual Ragamuffin Parade, set for Saturday, Sept. 30. Ragamuffin Parade Committee President Maureen Stramka says the parade will begin at 72nd Street and will proceed down Third Avenue to 92nd Street.
This year, JOAN BORAGI has been chosen as the “Woman of the Year” by the committee, and Guy Zoda is the parade’s grand marshal. This longstanding Bay Ridge tradition was started in 1967 as a way for the community to honor its children, and has since grown into a beloved extravaganza that draws thousands of participants. Get there early to enjoy the smiles — and the costumes.
