If you want to get especially spooked this HALLOWEEN season, consider heading to Grand Army Plaza this weekend or next. Edward Elefterion, director of the Brooklyn-based Rabbit Hole Ensemble, will present a stage version of the silent horror film classic “NOSFERATU” on Oct. 28 and 29 and Nov. 4 and 5.
Far from a traditional theatre-going experience, the bare-bones performance will take place inside the landmarked Soldier’s and Sailor’s Memorial Arch. The adaptation of the film focuses on the mysterious connection between two main characters and explores the effects of an unknown disease as it consumes a city, leaving madness and death in its wake. (If you thought your “Scream” mask was scary, think again.)
