It’s hard to miss the work of legendary photographer ANNIE LEIBOVITZ: her Vanity Fair photo spread of the Cruise family (and what’s that baby’s name?) has set off a media maelstrom, with coverage leaping beyond the predictable celebrity glossies to the news outposts of Time and CNN.com. (And now, the Brooklyn Eagle.)

But she’s headed to Brooklyn — Leibovitz, that is — with an exhibition at Brooklyn Museum beginning next month. Titled “Annie Leibovitz: A Photographer’s Life, 1990-2005,” the exhibit debuts at Brooklyn Museum Oct. 20 through January 21, 2007, before beginning an international tour. Portraits of the Cruises won’t be on display, but those of Demi Moore, Jack Nicholson and Nelson Mandela will.
