If art exhibits and film aren’t your thing, maybe local theatre will entice you this weekend. Park Slope’s Gallery Players opens its 40th anniversary season Saturday night with the musical Urinetown, whose book and lyrics were written by Brooklyn resident Greg Kotis. Tom Wojtunik directs the cast of 16, starring Jon Frazier.
The Heights Players in Willowtown present Ragtime, directed by longtime member Ed Healy, through Oct. 21. This version of the epic musical features actors Sekou Luke and Heather Davis as well as veterans Thomas Kane, Jim McNulty and Gina Healy.
