One of our favorite people was featured in the Times City section Sunday. Brooklyn Navy Yard archivist DANIELLA ROMANO talked about her role as chief curator of the some 32,000 engineering and architectural drawings — many of them over 200 years old — that are crucial to the Navy Yard’s current $100-million renovation.
“I like projects like this that are a little raw,” Romano told the Times. “I feel like I have a chance to shape how the Navy Yard treats its history.” The Eagle met with her in the fall, when she and Ft. Greene novelist Jennifer Egan were launching an oral history project focused on women who worked at the Navy Yard during World War II.
