If you don’t want to be in DUMBO this weekend, a different waterfront experience can be had on the shore of the Gowanus Canal. Ellie Hanlon, Erik Baard, Owen Foote and the rest of the GOWANUS DREDGERS invite you to Oktoberfest this Sunday from 1–5 p.m. Gowanus oysters, daffodil planting and a canoe regatta are the highlights of this volunteer organization’s end-of-season event. After this month, the canoes and paddles won’t be back out until spring.
