She and journalist Seth Kugel wrote Nueva York: The Complete Guide to Latino Life in the Five Boroughs, released this month by St. Martin’s Griffin. The 240-page guide covers everything from the food vendors at the Red Hook ballfields to the merengue scene at East Elmhurst’s Kana Lounge to the best Argentine restaurant in Midtown. Gonzalez, a former reporter and editorial board member on the staff of the Daily News, is a longtime Prospect Heights resident.
