Sunset Park’s Tabla Rasa Gallery today opens a new exhibit, “Music to My Eyes,” visual artwork inspired by or related to music. Among the paintings, mixed media, and sculptures are Bensonhurst native TONY DE NONNO’s documentary photographs, taken between 1970 and 1993 when De Nonno was a freelance photographer capturing big stars.
“The photographs by Mr. De Nonno give us a rare behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of pop culture,” said curator and gallery owner Audrey Anastasi. The first public exhibition of this collection includes snapshots of Eric Clapton, Bette Midler, Elvis, David Bowie and Frank Sinatra.
